I had the privilege of hearing your talk story last month when you filled in for the original speaker. Anyway, one tip you mentioned was to put things in the bathroom for fathers to read. Well, let me tell you, talk about instant results!! I put my notes from your talk in there. You spoke to us about children and the bad effects of too much TV and the good effects of fathers and family spending time together. On the paper you had a question that said, what do you do as a family? I had written down nothing and put a sad face. That night dad didn't get home until late and the next morning he went to use the bathroom (I figure he read it then). It was Saturday morning and I was making breakfast for everyone and he came in and helped make breakfast!!! Then he stayed and sat down and ate with us!! Like a real family! It has been a while since he has eaten with us. Oh, and the best part is that he didn't turn on the TV the whole time we ate! Now that was a miracle it self!!! I just can't thank you enough! The TV has been off when the kids are up since then! I've seen that he now tries to spend more time with them and with us.
Thank you so much for the wonderful tips!
Mother of 5 yr old
In a time of great need of direction in my relationship with my youngest child, I made a desperate call to Kathy Bentley. Without any hesitation, & quick to my aid, Kathy showed up & convinced my daughter and me a better way to cope with strong teenage beliefs & attitudes. After listening to us individually & discussing matters together. Kathy was great on recognizing the difficulties in our lives... and was confident in creating a three step plan right there and than for us to put into action. After each meeting, receiving direction from Kathy, it just reassured both of us how to better treat and respect each other in a civil manor until graduation... I can't wait!
Kathy has the knowledge & professionalism in changing & making a difference in families! Thank you so much Kathy for being there for us... IT WORKED!!
Parent of 17 year old
Kathy's Parenting Solutions offered specific actions that were realistic, genuine and perceptive to the situation. Kathy was professional and sensitive with my teenager and respected her confidentiality as well as mine...
Kathy was flexible and open-minded... she provided relevant reading materials to help my husband and I better understand the teen mind and ever changing behavior modes...

Thank you for a refreshing, easy to understand, and comfortable workshop. You have a gift of being able to talk about your material, sound natural and can relate to all the different social and racial make up of the class. I enjoyed to class very much and we should have taken it more than 10 years ago but we didn't know any better, now we do.
Parent of sons ages 15 and 17
Kathy did a great job. Kathy did my Parent Night last year and our parents asked me if she could come back and do another workshop.
Ata Ederlin, Director Seagull School Kailua
I enjoyed this class. I learned new things plus was reminded of simple strategies to deal with children and myself on a daily basis. Kathy really understands what children and teachers go through. She was funny, realistic, a real advocate for the children and the people who care for them. Thank you.

As always, we never know how many parents to expect and I enjoy an informal approach so parents feel comfortable and at ease with their questions. This was very much the case!
Christina Malins, Principal, Holy Family Catholic Academy
The staff of Seagull Schools, Inc would like to thank you for your presentation. The staff was given a wealth of information to add to their own experiences. The teachers will be able to use this new information to better formulate their curriculum planning. Your expertise in this area will be used every day and has provided extra knowledge for the teachers to draw upon.
Jane Arasaki, Director Seagull School at Kapolei
I learned a lot about different solutions to help with my children. Children are not too young to do chores and make appropriate choices! Thank you and please come back.

Thank you so much for coming to the Mid-Pacific Insitute's Dean's Night. Your talk was funny, informative, and well received by our parents. Our Principal was theres as well as our President. They both conveyed to me that they enjoyed your talk, and they are both parents! I did appreciate you keeping to the time restriction. I hope we can have you back for a PTO night with even more of your wit, insight, and valuable information. Thanks again and I look forward to working with you again in the future.
Julie Halpern, Director of Student Services, Mid-Pacific Institute
That was a great presentation. We have nothing but good comments, except the parents would like more time. We want you back.
Anna Wilson, PSAP/PCNC Kailua Elementary School
The workshop actually exceeded my expectations. It was a good learning experience. This also gave me options on ways to discipline.
